Originally from South Africa, I’ve called the UK home for the past five years. At QuoStar, my mission is to amplify QuoStar’s difference, showcase our industry expertise, and strengthen brand awareness. Whether supporting teams, organising platforms for insightful discussions, or coordinating community fundraising events, my focus is always on starting conversations with clients, colleagues, and the wider community while highlighting QuoStar’s leadership.
As a creative thinker with a bias for action and a commitment to data-driven decision-making, I’m here to solve challenges and take the initiative to achieve our goals.
I’m an experienced procurement manager with over 10 years in the field. Over that time, I’ve proven my ability in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. I’ve also developed expertise in cost reduction, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and optimising supply chains.
At QuoStar, I bring this broad experience to bear whilst successfully mitigating risk and fostering collaboration across multiple cross-functional teams.
As the Head of Cloud Services at QuoStar, I specialise in private cloud solutions, helping clients optimise their infrastructures and leverage technology to drive business success. Since joining the team in December 2021, I’ve been dedicated to providing strategic insights and hands-on support to ensure our solutions meet each client’s unique needs while supporting growth and maximising uptime.
Before QuoStar, I served as a Cloud Services Technical Team Lead, gaining extensive experience in cloud architecture and deployment. My career in cloud technology has been defined by a commitment to understanding both the technical and operational sides of cloud services, enabling me to deliver solutions that enhance performance and security.
I’m an experienced Technical Team Manager with over 15 years’ experience working in the IT managed services industry. I am a strong analytical problem solver skilled in Microsoft Server OS, VMware, Citrix, Cisco IOS, ITIL, IT Service Management, Azure and Office 365. I’m also Microsoft, Citrix and Cisco accredited.
As head of fourth line at QuoStar, I am responsible for technical escalations from our service desk team, to support the resolution of complex and high-priority customer incidents. My focus is on reducing the resolution time of incidents whilst mentoring and upskilling our service desk team.
I’m a highly skilled cloud architect with extensive experience of public and private cloud technologies.
At QuoStar, I’m responsible for the design, planning, implementation and integration of our cloud platforms, as well as their day-to-day maintenance. I am also a point of technical escalation for the cloud and the QuoStar technical teams, drawing on a wealth of experience in cloud migration and transformation projects across public and private cloud environments.
As Senior Technical Consultant at QuoStar, I bring with me over a quarter century of experience in managed services technical support and operations roles.
As a Team Lead, I oversee client escalations with a focus on swift resolution and exceptional client satisfaction. Key to this success over the years has been maintaining close relationships with businesses, particularly in the legal and estate agency sectors, as a trusted advisor and go-to resource.
I’m known for my quick response and dedicated support, especially during critical incidents like ransomware attacks. Our clients know they’re getting someone who won’t let them down: reliable, proactive and a technical expert.
I lead a variety of digital transformation projects at QuoStar including VMWare datacentre platform migrations, infrastructure security hardening, modern workplace migrations and WAN refreshes, including SD-WAN and zero trust approaches. My extensive cybersecurity expertise is also brought to bear in helping to deliver Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001 certifications, cyber risk assessments, and QuoStar’s CISO-as-a-Service.
I also chair QuoStar’s Standards Committee to capture and identify emerging threats and define appropriate remedial actions. And I direct and assist our Security Incident & Response Team (SIRT) to help clients recover from ransomware with a complete, secure and controlled restoration of IT infrastructure.
I have been working in IT for around 30 years, having started on the service desk before moving on to more consultative, project delivery and management-focussed roles.
I’ve been with QuoStar now for seven years. During this time my role has evolved as the company has grown. I’m now heavily involved in pre-sales and project technical delivery within the expanding professional services team.
I’ve only worked for four companies throughout my career as I really value continuity and the ability to nurture and enjoy the success that comes from hard work. My focus and drive ensure the client comes first in everything I do – which also means continuously updating my IT skills set to ensure a high standard of service delivery. This fits perfectly with the QuoStar philosophy.
I graduated with an MEng in Information Engineering and spent the next five years working as a Systems Engineer before joining an IT professional services organisation.
For the next 25 years I worked as a technical consultant, building the skills and experience which brought me to QuoStar two years ago.
My role here involves pre-sales and project delivery, which means plenty of interactions with our clients. It’s not just about delivering services, it’s about building partnerships.
As the Head of DevOps at QuoStar, I have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between development and infrastructure. Over the past two years, I’ve progressed from a Cloud Specialist to my current role, focusing on streamlining processes and enhancing our cloud capabilities. My journey began in IT as a Support Engineer, where I cultivated a passion for cloud technologies and automation.
I’ve always believed that effective collaboration is key to innovation. By leveraging tools like Bicep and Azure IaaS, I strive to create environments that empower teams to work efficiently and creatively. I’m excited about the rapid advancements in technology and how they can drive real business value.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing board games, which not only sparks my creativity but also reinforces my love for strategic thinking and teamwork.
