Salary: Up to £40k basic (DOE) – £100k OTE (uncapped) + commission, car allowance, pension and flexible benefits

Job Role

QuoStar is looking for a self-starting business development professional to work directly with the company founders to grow the business beyond its already healthy (year-on-year) growth curve. This role is perfect for a capable person confident in their abilities, along with an ambition to take the lead and a significant share of the responsibility for business growth.

You will be responsible for selling outsourcing services and consultancy to small and mid-sized organisations (50 – 500 users). You should have a proven track record within a similar role, particularly around the outsourcing arena. You will be a results-orientated high achiever who has consistently achieved and exceeded targets in a similar role.

You will be responsible for everything, from responding to marketing generated enquiries and generating your own leads – through to attending meetings, building relationships, writing proposals and closing business.

You will have a strong focus on identifying, developing, and maintaining new business opportunities, you will also be capable of developing on-going trusted partner relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new prospects and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Attend meetings, make calls, write proposals, negotiate and close business.
  • Assist with sales and business strategy development.
  • Work within a team to deliver an end-to-end solution.

Person Profile

  • Minimum of three years successful and profitable track record of selling outsourcing and consultancy into the small and mid-market.
  • Ability to communicate with business owners and board members in business terms and to put cash value benefits alongside their proposals.
  • Ability to communicate with IT Managers confidently.
  • Ability to open new accounts and then develop and execute account plans that deliver value to the client and the company.

Drive and ambition to be the best at what they do and to continually learn and develop, along with an ambition to make the company they are working with the best it can be. Keen to take responsibility, with a capacity to self-critique themselves and their performance.

Personal Situation: Able to commute reliably to office base and UK wide (if necessary). Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. Must have clean or near clean driving licence.

Education: Degree or Equivalent

Specific Job Skills: Able to communicate and motivate via written media. Understands the principles of sales and marketing including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling.

Literacy and Numeracy: Must be a very competent writer of business communications, especially quotations and proposals.

Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Able to demonstrate success and experience of managing client accounts and contracts, particularly achieving sales development and cross selling opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have had at least three consecutive years of target achievement selling IT services, is a self starter, can work with minimum supervision and is able to take responsible business decisions in support of the company’s strategy.
