Inside Sales Executive

Job Overview

To work with the Business Development Team to increase our client base in line with Company strategy. The primary focus of this role is to locate and qualify new prospects by generating interest in the company’s products and services predominately via telephone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions and manage prospect expectations
  • Receive requests for products and services details from prospects and provide timely responses
  • Achieve and maintain a positive rapport with prospects and work to give them the best possible service
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge of the service offerings of the company
  • Enter all sales leads and prospects into the company CRM system
  • Perform sales procedures through activities and opportunities within the company CRM system and ensure compliance with defined policies and procedures
  • Work through a daily list of sales activities
  • Communicate and report sales forecasts to the sales team
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalogue and how it relates to the client’s needs
  • Review IT publications and online resources to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry
  • To become involved in other tasks/duties as required

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Two years of telephone-based prospecting and relationship building
  • An understanding of IT services and products, managed IT services or IT consulting
  • Possess a track record of prospecting, qualifying and managing client commitment as part of the sales process
  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships
  • Proficient with general office applications
  • Enjoy working with clients and external audiences with strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational, presentation and client service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Valid driving licence

Desired Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level

The role is suitable for someone who:

  • Is able to demonstrate success and experience of managing client accounts and contracts, particularly achieving sales development and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Is self-motivated, driven and able to make decisions in line with company policy and strategy in a fast-paced changing environment.
