The Role
This is a critical role within the organisation. You will be part of the service delivery team and the primary interface between that team and the infrastructure/project teams. Within your role you will be providing 3rd level support to the internal service delivery team and technical customers, acting as a back-stop/buck stops here for any escalated calls.

Duties
- Providing support to the service desk team and infrastructure/project teams.
- Supporting the internal and customer systems.
- Improving the internal and customer systems.
- Maintaining the internal and customer systems.
- Creating procedures, policies and documenting systems. · Assisting with and at times delivering customer and internal projects.
- Planning projects.
- Required to be included in an out of hours support rota.
Required Experience
- Worked in an IT support / engineering for a minimum 5 years.
- Working at a 3rd line level (servers and desktop) for at least 2 years.
- Will have worked within an IT outsourcing organisation or within an organisation with at least 500 nodes.
- Experience planning, managing and delivering projects for internal departments or company customers.

- Windows Server Administration – 2003/2008/SBS, Group Policy, permissions, etc
- Windows Desktop Administration and Troubleshooting
- Server specification, trouble-shooting and build.
- MS Office troubleshooting : Desktop and Terminal Server
- Networking – TCP/IP : DNS
- Exchange 2003/2007/2010 administration and troubleshooting
- Project Management – system installations : system migrations : office moves
- System design – small office
- Exchange server administration and troubleshooting
- Terminal Server setup and troubleshooting · VMware (ESX/ESXi) – administration and troubleshooting
- VMware (Virtual Centre) – administration tasks
- Symantec Backup Exec – Configure jobs, schedules and troubleshooting failures

Required Qualification
- A Levels or Equivalent
