Thin client solutions remove the hassle of managing, updating and supporting the PCs in your organisation. The user would typically not know the difference between working on a PC and a thin client. The thin client looks like a small PC, but has no mechanical components, such as fans and hard disks; no moving parts means massively reduced hardware failure rates. With a thin client solution, all of the processing, storage, management and security is done on the server. The user accesses the server with the normal keyboard and mouse - and the server does the rest.

The total cost of ownership on thin client solutions is reduced, because centralising applications and storage allow your users as much or as little flexibility as their jobs require. Time wasted on software faults, user errors, illegitimate activity and mechanical failure are all reduced drastically. The QuoStar thin client solutions add real return on investment, with increased life of that investment. This is due mainly to the fact that hardware upgrades and operating system upgrades are typically non-existent on the client. Application upgrades are simply done on the server, giving all thin clients immediate access to that upgrade, without the need for complex roll-out plans.
